His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the National Olympic Committee, toured the media city, which was purpose built for the London Olympic Games, where he saw for himself the preparations by the Organizing Committee of London 2012 to host the event, and heard from Sir Charles Alen a full explanation about the facilities made to serve the event, and the media.

The city includes two adjacent areas, one is allocated to the television broadcast, known as the International Broadcasting Centre and includes all international television stations, and most satellite channels, while the other is prepared for the service of the journalists and is referred to as the media center. It includes rooms for press conferences and interviews, and places for the journalists and TV staff equipped with a wide range of services such as computers and television.

His Highness, the President  of the NOC continued his toured in the Olympic Park, accompanied by His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development , and HE Abdul Rahman Ghanem Al Mutaiwee, UAE Ambassador to the United Kingdom, His Excellency Abdullah Al Mansouri, Director of the Office of HH the Ruler of Dubai, London, His Excellency Ibrahim Abdul Malik Secretary General of the General Authority of Youth and Sport Welfare, HE Advisor Mohammed Al Kamali, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee, and Chef De Mission, and HE Abdul Mohsen Al Dossary Member of the Executive Office, Chairman of the Olympic Technical Commission, and His Excellency Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, member of the Executive Office, President of the Shooting Federation , HE Duaij Rasis, Vice President of the Taekwondo and karate Federation, and HE adviser Ahmed Al Kamali, The president of the UAE Athletics Federation, member of the board of Directors of the International Association of Athletics Federations, and member of the Olympic Technical Commission, and HE Nasser Al Tamimi, Member of the International Federation of Judo and  member of the Olympic Technical Commission. HH toured the modern business district, where he and the entourage were received by the Director of the business district, located inside the Olympic Park and connected to the Olympic village and train, and buses stations, which is created specifically in Stratford, east London to serve the athletes, delegates and guests of the event. It includes a huge commercial center and arcades linked with the Olympic Park and Olympic Village and entrances leading to playgrounds. The district includes many shops and restaurants that offer all services necessary for delegates and guests of the tournament.
